The Pope is resigning in case you haven’t been near a Radio or TV lately. He has given the end of February as his last days as the supreme leader of the Catholic Church. One might wonder if he had gotten a better offer from somewhere else in the Universe, but the Pope being eighty-five, it isn’t likely, and after you’ve been Pope, what else is there? If you consider the job market today, it really would be wise for him to stay with his present position barring health considerations.
If the Vatican’s health care system parallels Canadians or Britain’s he might be in for a long wait if he needs to see a doctor. If it looks like our health care system is suppose to look like in a few years, all he will get is an aspirin for his ailments and told to go home and die. That shouldn’t scare him considering he was the Pope; surely he has a one-way ticket to heaven, unless there was something in his past that might get him stuck in purgatory or something like that.
The President has said we are on the road to recovery and we have the best of everything in this nation, thanks to him and his cronies. So, the Pope can maybe get a part-time job like the rest of us has to, blessing warehouse’s filled with pork and beans.
All kidding aside, the pope has left a legacy of being rough on the pedophile priest and scourging the church of their destructive ways. Only the Vatican actually knows how rampant the problem really is, but one must ask. If a church that has existed for two thousand years is so infected with perversion and all the excuse you are given for this behavior is; they are just human after all. Then, why isn’t there an equally large problem with the Jewish religion, after all, they’ve been around twice as long.
God never intended for there to be a Pope, God never intended for man or women to live in a celibate life, and God never thought of the things man thinks of in order to hold power over his fellow human beings. Only man can imagine so many ways to insult God and still read the bible everyday.
