We cannot have the benefits of Christianity if we shed its doctrines. D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones
We have shed the clothing of the saints by shedding the doctrines of the Bible. We’ve become naked before God by our own will and we have no shame. We would rather appease the sinner than stand for the righteous teachings of scripture.
Is God and his doctrine so terribly bad that evil is so appealing? Sadly, many in the world today would say, yes. If you look at the world and look at what scriptures say, you see that God says don’t do something, and the world proceeds to do just that which God says not to do. God says go to the right, humans go to the left instinctively. We need guidance, God put Sheppard’s to lead his people, but do they follow the teachings of scripture? One could make a strong argument, they do not. The bible says, the blind will lead the blind and are we ever blind in this nation.
There can be no spiritual heath without doctrinal knowledge. J.I.Parker
If we seek the guidance from our creator, we first must seek His truth, without one, we cannot have the other. If we reject the truth of God’s teachings, we have rejected any chance of salvation. The question then becomes, what is the true teachings from the Bible? Many seem to have answers, but do they fit with what the bible says? Beware of men willing to steal your salvation for gain. You alone stand before Christ and answer for yourself, no one else can help you then. Perhaps its time to find some answers, some answers that fit with what the bible teaches, they are there in front of you.
In the center of the whirlpool, while the waters rush around, There’s a space of perfect stillness, though with turmoil it is bound; All is calm, and all is quiet, scarcely e’en a sense of sound. So with us-despite the conflict-when in Christ His perfect peace is found.
No author to attribute this to, but I can imagine, someone in deep trouble or concern over some recent event within their lives that has brought them great turmoil. I can imagine them sitting by a still quite stream starring into the waters in deep thought trying to make some sense of things whirling around them seemingly out of control.
I can see that same person watching the water as it moves downwards over rocks heading towards the ocean creating small whirlpools in the eddies and rocks. As they begin to connect their trouble to the small whirlpools in a vast river of life; they begin to realize troubles surround us all, and they soon fade away only to be replaced by others that haven’t yet formed.
The calmness within the center of each whirlpool attracts their attention, focusing on the calm they begin see the answer they were searching for within their trouble life, they see Christ as our constant calm. Our quiet place within the storm of life, can be found within our prayers conversing with our creator about life’s ever tormenting troubles. Its then that peace consumes our thoughts telling us, the Father in heaven is in control. No matter how big or how small our whirlpools in life seem to be, or how out of control they appear, in the center with Christ, we can find calm in our whirlpool called life.
It said, we walk in the footsteps of our ancestors, and if you’re one of those that believe the human race evolves from apes, if you’re right, it could explain a lot. Its inconceivable the decisions being made by supposedly brilliant men and women in the name of humanity today. When you look at the chart of the evolution of man, it shows mans progression as becoming more and more intelligent. Now, the scientists are going to have to revise their charts and graphs showing a downward spike. Who knows maybe the huge brows and slopping head like the Neanderthal may emerge again in the human make-up.
I’m being facetious, but it’s almost to the point of ridiculous the decisions being made about things that are really a concern most Americans, especially the embola outbreak. I’m going to go through the litany of mistakes that have been made, but point to the one that is an overriding exclamation to a already gargantuan debacle. That would be putting someone with absolutely no medical background in charge of overseeing this epidemic. That is equivalent to putting someone in charge of blowing up a 50 story building downtown New York who has never seen explosives or what they can do, a single day of their lives.
We walk in the footsteps of those that came before us; we want those to be men of integrity and honor, men with common sense and an internal compass that guide them and keeps them on the right paths. We want our leaders of today to walk in the footsteps of Washington, Lincoln, Reagan, not in the steps of men we can barley remember their names. I would prefer they try walking in the footsteps of our creator, Jesus, the Christ.
I would like to hear them quote the bible instead of science journals. I would like to know they put God first instead of politics. I would like all of that in our leaders, but that leader is not due to arrive until, the current ones are finished destroying everything, pray for our nation.
I’m reminded daily by sightless people around me, the effects of spiritual blindness and its affects on society as a whole. Real blindness is an unfortunate reality with some folks either by birth or by accident. These folks can’t help being blind, and would do almost anything to be able to see. Yet, they have developed other senses that help them overcome being without sight. We find no such accommodations with spiritual blindness; being spiritually sightless is a condition that is imposed upon most of the world so the mercy of Christ can abound. Most of these folks are content to have it so; unlike real physical blindness, spiritual blindness seems to be desired.
Can a person receive spiritual sight? By the grace of Christ and the Father they can. Christ healed many physically blind folks when He walked this earth; they came to Him for such a miracle, the blind were begging for sight. But how many today, ask Christ for real sight, real spiritual sight, few I would guess. In the physical world, seeing is more common than blindness by overwhelming margins; the opposite is true for spiritual blindness. Can you be deceived because you are blind? In the physical world of blindness, the other senses help protect the sightless from being fooled. But in the spiritual realm nations are deceived because of their blindness, scriptures say they desire it to be that way.
Are you blind to Gods word, and how would you know if you were? If you don’t know perhaps you are, there is a way to tell, but you have to be willing to see first, if your hands aren’t covering your eyes as you walk though this world. Open your eyes to the world of Christ, His truth, His love, His hope; you’ll see what a wonderful place it truly is and will be.
It is said in order for man to survive, He must have something to believe in. We need something other than ourselves in which to place our faith. Believing is an uncompromising love to where one places their loyalty.
I believe in warm summer days, where the daylight hours are long so as to accomplish all the work one has to do. I believe in cool fall nights so the body can rest comfortably, able to wake up refreshed. I believe in the character of cats, because their interesting. I believe in Dogs because of their loyalty and friendship. I believe in a cool glass of tea on a hot summers day, and a cup of hot chocolate when its icy cold outside.
I believe in the selflessness of others, their ability to disregard their own safety in times of need and help others. I believe in long marriages and commitment between husband and wife. I believe in children raised in a home where love is first and growing up is fun. I believe in true justices; every man should be bound by the same laws and held accountable for his actions. I believe man can achieve all things, if he makes the right choices. I believe man has a higher calling, but I also believe he doesn’t understand that calling.
I believe in Christ, in every way and in every need. I believe Christ has a purpose for man, but man has no idea what that is. Its man’s destiny to be with Christ, but man has no idea where that will be either. I believe Christ can heal the sick, both then and now. I believe in the Father in Heaven and His son who died for our sins and rose again. I believe one day not too far off in the future, Christ will come again to retrieve His bride, the church.
I believe these things because they are the beliefs that I have faith in, that drive me forward daily. The question becomes, what do you believe in, and why? Have a wonderful feast, God Bless.
